WORK IN PROGRESS

I presented a paper entitled 'Relational and Non-Relational Approaches to Global Justice', at the Political Studies Association annual conference in Manchester in April. The paper is broadly based on the first chapter of my thesis. A draft version of the paper is available here.

Having unsuccessfully submitted my paper 'A Global Solidaristic Community? David Miller and Human Rights' to a couple of journals I am now developing it in light of reviewer comments, and will be submitting it elsewhere shortly. I previously gave a talk based on this paper at the Association for Legal and Social Philosophy's annual conference held at Nottingham University in March 2008.

I am writing two entries (on 'Associative Duties' and 'Duties to Non-Compatriots') for the forthcoming Encyclopedia of Global Justice, being edited by Professor Dean K. Chatterjee of the University of Utah for Springer Press. The encyclopedia is currently due for publication in Spring 2010.

I'm also writing a paper provisionally entitled 'In Defence of Second-Order Impartiality', which is drawn from the third section of my thesis. I gave a talk based on an early draft of this paper at one of our Summer Graduate Research Seminars in July 2008. A draft of this paper will be available online shortly.
