Arts and Humanities Research Council

The AHRC is one of several national funding bodies providing research and training funding for students and academics.The AHRC covers most areas of philosophy, although some aspects of political philosophy fall under the ESRC's remit (see below).

I'm fortunate to be the holder of an AHRC doctoral award which provides full fees and maintenance for three-years. Previously I held a Research Preperation Master's Award which provided full fees and maintenance for the MA year.

Economics and Social Research Council

The ESRC, another of the national funding bodies, covers social sciences, so political science and some aspects of political philosophy fall under it's remit.
